Swedish Microwave AB, founded in 1986, is a leading manufacturer of Low Noise Blockdownconverters (LNB). This makes Swedish Microwave AB
to Europes oldest manufacturer of LNBs.
Swedish Microwave's LNBs are used in Cable-TV headends, VSAT Systems, Satellite News Gathering (SNG) systems, Marine systems and On-The-Move applications.
All work is in house allowing custom-design products, short delivery times, high flexibility, quick service and support. The company is located in Motala, in the south of Sweden.
All products are designed and manufactured in Motala, SWEDEN, and sold to more than 100 countries since the beginning of 1986.
The export level is today 98%.

1988 |
First LNB manufacurer releasing an LNB with HEMT transistor. The LNB had a maximum Noise Figure of 1.5 dB. |
1989 |
The company of the year in Motala. |
1990 |
First 2-bands LNB which covered the low- and high frequency band by switching the voltage supply 13/18 V. NF 1.4 dB max. |

First Satellite dish in production. The smallest dish in the world - OA-200. Only 20 cm! The main application was for the very strong satellite Tele-X. |
1991 |
The production of dishes for the european market begun. First out was a 65 cm offset dish in metall followed by a 85, 105, 120, 140 cm dishes in ABS-plastic. |
1992 |
The Best Developement Company of the year in the county of Ostergotland. |
1994 |
New unique dish, The multi focus dish OA-1600. Each focal point is equivalent to a 100 cm dish within a satellite range of 26°. |
